The third edition of the GETODAVA Festival, an event of historical reconstruction, with cultural and educational purpose, for all ages. The entry is free!

More than two millenia ago, on these lands, lived the warrior tribes of the Getae/Dacians, which Herodotus described as being ''...the bravest and fairest of all the Thracian tribes''.

This weekend, RAUZWI - Living Archeology Mittelweser is all about the early medieval "men under arms". On both days, the open-air grounds at the Old Saxon cemetery between Liebenau and Steyerberg will be brought to life.

On June 22, we invite you to the Open-Air Museum at Trzinica. On this day, we will celebrate Polish Sobótka (Kupala Night, Bonfire, St. John's Night). Kupala Night is an ancient event that can be traced to the tradition of paganism.

These workshops will focus on tanning animal skins. Each participant will not only leave with a soft and usable skin, but also the skills and knowledge to continue this art and home and revive our ancient wisdom. This process leads the participants to have a deep respect for the animals who have surrendered their skins, and for the immense skill of our own ancestors who relied on this art. 

Become an Archaeologist for a Day! You will be given a tour of our active archaeological dig at Fitzstephen's Fort. This is the first Norman fort in the country, founded in the winter of 1169 by Robert Fitzstephen. Learn how archaeologists assess, plan and execute a dig.
