EXARC (www.exarc.net) and University of Trento (www.unitn.it) are pleased to announce the 1st call for papers for the 11th Experimental Archaeology Conference (#EAC11), which will be held in University of Trento, Italy, on the 2-4 May 2019.
I started working in the experimental field while still studying at the university. Mostly I do reconstructions of iron objects and medieval shoes. These days I run the forge of the archaeological open-air museum "Bajuwarenhof Kirchheim", where I also present other crafts to the public.
The Iron Age Farm Dongen is a project in which a group of enthusiastic volunteers since 2005 visitors want to show, feel, hear, smell, in short experience the life in the Iron Age in the South Netherlands (800 to 50 BC). On a site of about 1 hectare, this settlement is located just outside the built-up area of Dongen. The people in the Iron Age were farmers. They kept cattle and were farming on fields.

Looking for teams!
In the weekend of seven and eight July, Huis van Hilde and the Hoogoven Museum organize a public event close to Amsterdam (NL). In the context of 100 years of Tata Steel, iron furnaces will be made and used.
This is a rare opportunity to link excavation and long-term reconstruction, and a small ream of volunteers with some excavation experience are required for this collaborative project between the Dyfed Archaeological Trust and the University of Liverpool on behalf of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Reconstructions of scenes of daily life of the Celtic period by the historical reenactors.
Educational path guided through the camps.
Launch of combat axes, archery, duels between warriors.
Experimentation cycles on the art of weaving in the Celtic world; furthermore, it will be possible to engage in practical manufacturing activities on the various technologies.
