When did I start? So long ago I do not exactly recall. I've done very early hunting since the seventies. I learned to make my own arrows and bows to historic models. I'm learning to knap flint into points. I've learned to use the atlatl and darts, the sling (Balearic in this case).
Sally is an archaeologist and freelance heritage educator with an MSc in Experimental Archaeology. She is also an Honorary Associate Research Fellow at Exeter University.
We don't know whether and how the people of the Stone Age in the Albersdorf area and elsewhere in Schleswig-Holstein celebrated the turn of the year. New Year's Day is a good date to explore the topics of the calendar and the turn of the year while taking walks through the Stone Age park and the Stone Age village.
Target group for this workshop:
1) Archaeology students – Bachelor 3, Master and cand. PhD.
2) Postdocs, professionals and amateurs.
One of the heritage resources of prehistoric sites, where prehistory is a diverse and wide-ranging field of study, appears as the triple determination between geography and climate, humans and their type of social organisation. Prehistory has bequeathed us evocative monuments and landscapes from the earliest human occupation, spanning enormous environmental and technological changes, and including several human species. Thus, prehistoric sites have great meaning in both natural and cultural history.
