Most of these artifacts were more than just simple tools for hunting or impressive status symbols – they were actually used for disputes. This fact is proved by injuries on skeletal remains, strain patterns on weapons and through historical sources.

In a tour we deal with myths and stories about beginnings and origins. There are sources from the Middle Ages, Iron and Bronze Ages that echo how people explain the world to themselves and to others.

In the Middle Ages there were no games especially for children. The tug-of-war or horseshoe throwing was sure to be fun for everyone, regardless of age. Conversely, girls could spin wool and boys could make wooden nails like adults. Children can try out all of this and other exciting activities with the Düppeltaler in their pockets at the children's party.

In the weekend of 22 and 23 August, the medieval group Allemansend will arrive: In the town of Gravendam, the crew of De Jonge Kraai pulls its ships onto dry land and sets up a medieval encampment.
