The 2020 annual meeting of the Theoretical Archaeology Group will take place in Leicester from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th December

Session Abstract:

Experimental archaeology to ask about - Hamburg students live for a week in the Stone Age village

From July 28th, 2020 to July 31st, 2020 there will be a practical seminar of the Archaeological Institute of the University of Hamburg in the stone age village of the stone age park Dithmarschen in Albersdorf.

Since 2011 they have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage “ Prehistoric Pile Dwellings Around the Alps ”, the ruins of a 6000-year-old Neolithic village in the Blue Valley near Ehrenstein near Ulm.

Archäologisches Freilichtmuseum Oerlinghausen also offers online material for homeschooling supported by videos, so far only in German.

Kernavė was a medieval capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

These 3D videos were commissioned by the Kernavė State Cultural Reserve and are used in the Kernavė Archaeological Site Museum.

The Museu de Prehistòria preserves much of the material legacy of the towns that occupied the Valencian territory. The recovery of this important heritage has been possible thanks to the excavations that the Prehistoric Research Service (SIP) has carried out for more than 80 years.
