Historical Foodfest, taste the past

Hungry! Your own vegetable garden, fermenting, smoking, brewing and cooking - it's totally hip again. Many of those techniques have a long history.

During the Ascension weekend we therefore take you on a food adventure in the past. How do you keep something long-lasting without a fridge? And did they drink alcohol in prehistoric times? What were the table habits in the Middle Ages and where did they come from?

We are going to make cheese like the Romans, smoke fish as the first farmers, co-brew (honey wine) and taste like Vikings and much more. There are herbal workshops and plantpicking walks, there is information about preserving, brewing and more. Is your mouth watering already? Then come and discover and taste in the pre-historic village.
