Welcome to Saltvik Viking Market, always the last weekend in July!

This year Saltvik Viking Market will take place 27 – 29th of July and we in Fornföreningen Fibula offer entertainment and commerce in vikinglike spirit. In the market area you will find merchants, craftspeople, artists, jesters and viking warriors!

When you get hungry and thirsty we serve food and drink in our restaurants.

For the children will Sagas Raiding Party will return for the children where they can seek out runes and test viking inspired crafts that suit for children in nearly all ages.

OPENING HOURS:

Market area: 11:00 – 00:00

Merchants and craftspeople: 12:00 – 18:00 (some merchants can choose to keep their shops open after 18:00)

FOOD:

The Longhouse, restaurant: Serves food 12:00 – 19:00, the Bar 12:00 – 00:00, on  Saturday – Bar closes 22:00

Knarren, barbeque: 12:00 – 18:00

We will make our popular VIKING PANCAKES over a open fire on the market area

ENTERTAINMENT:

Fornfela – Kristin Svensson are playing viking inspired musik on the market area during the day. De Fliere Fluiters – Eva & Reik will, as usual, play when the viking warriors fight and on the market area. Rävspel & Kråksång will sit in the bar and play folk songs and shanties.

Zack the Jester will entertain both young and old with his tricks and banter.

Sagas Raiding Party with viking inspired crafts and rune searching for the children are available between 12:00 – 18:00.
We will also have pony riding on the market area for the children this year!

On friday evening at 22:00, YASIRELD will hold a FIRESHOW!

Holmgers Hird, the Fibula fightinggroup, will show viking fighting along with viking warriors from Sweden, Finland and other parts of Europe every day at 13:00 and 16:00.

ENTRY FEE:

Adults (13 years and older) : 10 €
Children (7 – 12 years) : 5 €
Family (2 adults and 2 children younger than 13 years) : 25 €
Children younger than 7 years has free entry!
