Matthias Barkmann uses precious metal sheet and ball hammer to make precious vessels. Such valuable bowls were reserved for the noble upper class in Haithabu. They were probably used to make specially made drinks that were reserved for special occasions.

Meeting point: The Viking Museum Haithabu consists of an exhibition house and an outdoor area with reconstructed Viking houses. The parking lot is near the exhibition house. To get from the parking lot to the reconstructed houses, you should plan a 20-minute walk.
