August is traditionally a harvesting month:  ripened crops are gather in; grains are made into tasty foods and beverages and the Crannog farmers plough the soil.

Iron Age life is highlighted by the Crannog Community in this interactive farming event:  Ploughing demonstrations, Beer and Cheese, Food and grinding grain.  Plus drop-spinning, corn-dollies, woodworking, creative crafts and fire-making.
