In this workshop, ceramic vessels will be made using Neolithic techniques and shapes. Only a few 100 meters away from the Zeiteninsel, ceramic finds from various phases of the Neolithic period were found during archaeological excavations.

On closer inspection, we find many references to Stone Age production techniques on these local originals. The focus should be on the partly richly decorated originals of the Rössener culture, but also finds of corded ceramics, linear ceramics - and also the Wartberg culture from the somewhat wider area of the Zeiteninsel. They form our starting point to practically understand the whole process from clay preparation, various free construction techniques to surface treatment and the typical decorations.

The workshop is aimed at those who already have ceramics experience as well as beginners.
