On July 29th and 30th, 2023, the Roman Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Archaeological Park Cambodunum in Kempten "On the footsteps of the empire".

When more than 100 performers from all over Europe pitch their tents high above the roofs of Kempten, daring horsemen demonstrate their skills and gladiators vie for the attention of the audience in the arena, antiquity really does come to life in Cambodunum!

The "Roman Festival CAMBODVNVM - In the Footsteps of the Empire" invites everyone to immerse themselves in Roman times on July 29th and 30th, 2023 in the Archaeological Park Cambodunum (APC). The APC brings the Roman past to life at the original location and embarks on a journey through time to everyday Roman life 2,000 years ago in Cambodunum - historical groups of performers from home and abroad, ancient craftsmanship, fast-paced equestrian games, spectacular gladiator fights, numerous hands-on activities and historical authenticity make the Roman festival CAMBODVNVM at family-friendly prices an unforgettable experience for the whole family and of course for real Roman fans alike.
