The “re-invented” Middle Stone Age village is worth a visit. Situated idyllically at the Lake Aue, directly next to the Bachmann Museum, you will find two (re)constructed huts. At special events or after booking a program you will witness here the life of Mesolithic hunters and gatherers.
School excursions about Stone Age are successful events here. Children learn about the Stone Age when foraging, making food and when using stone tools. The ones who have been collecting successfully will also have plenty to eat (round dough cakes, nuts, fruit and vegetables) and can also make a piece of jewelry. An outdoor visit may be combined with a visit to the indoor museum.
