Within the natural landscape of the sands of Wekerom, the cultural landscape of the Iron Age can be experienced with the celtic fields system and farm.
The small fields, averagely dimensioned as a 40 meters wide square, served probably two or three families ad were edged with paths. The sandy soil was preferred due to the easier workability but might have given poor harvest.
The (re)constructed farmhouse complete the landscape which can be experienced through a Celtic Fields trail. The trail leads the visitor through a 2,5 km long guided tour of the cultural landscape among celtic and german farmfields.
The visit is also enhanced by a dedicated app.
