Spend your day creating a historic frame-drum, using natural materials and ancient techniques.

Utilising ethically sourced and traditionally prepared goat hides and hand-bent birch, you will create yourself an utterly unique gift, whilst learning the history and prevalence of an instrument steeped in ancient history dating to the Neolithic!

For this process, you are invited to bring along your own decorations to truly personalise your drum and beater. By the end of the workshop, you will own a 16inch frame-drum and beater, as well as the expert knowledge to decorate and maintain your new instrument at home. Lewis will advise on painting techniques that you can use to decorate your drum at home.
