The example of the transnational EU LEADER project (2017-2020)
Experience ancient reality in motion in Luxembourg and Rhineland-Pfalz. The knowledge transfer of archaeological and historical findings has increased significantly due to the growing interest of a broad public in archaeology. The communication of research results is not a new challenge and has been practiced in different formats for many decades. However, the methods of reconstructing monuments and visualizing them are different. In the lecture, new methods of reconstruction will be presented, which were implemented in the EU-funded project at 110 locations in Rhineland-Pfalz and Luxembourg with nine local action groups (LAG) and more than 90 municipalities. The project was successfully completed in 2021. It has been possible to combine tourism and the experience of the archaeological heritage.
