Faculty member in the History department and Director of the Digital Arts & Humanities program at Carleton College. Have incorporated experimental archaeology in my research and teaching for years, but starting to teach a course on Experimental Archaeology and Experiential History in spring 2021. Primarily interested in early medieval Europe, cremation (both death ritual and pottery to hold remains), post-built burial structures, and fiber technologies.
