Location: Lauresham open-air laboratory

What was everyday life like for the upper class in the early Middle Ages? Which status symbols provided information about the rank of a mistress in the Carolingian era?

On this very special theme day, immerse yourself in the fascinating world of a manor house from around 800 AD. Watch blacksmiths and archaeotechnicians manufacture early medieval weapons for the armoured rider project of the open-air laboratory, get an impression of the appearance and equipment of horses and riders at that time, or learn about hunting and textile production.
