I am an archaeologist and artist who has been working on textiles and basketry of the past since 2014, though I have been making most of my life. I work with Native American artists in the Southeastern United States on revitalizing pre-European style textile traditions and have led a number of community-based collaborative experimental projects to re-create textiles based on archaeological and historical sources using native fibers and dyes with twining and interlacing. I frequently demonstrate and lecture on our community work and continue to facilitate the Choctaw Traditional Textiles group. I am currently working on a PhD in archaeology focused on 18th and 19th century textiles and basketry from the Southeastern U.S.
