I'm professional archaeologist, graduated from Novosibirsk State University in History/Archaeology. Received PhD in History, had more than 8 years of post-doctoral research in archaeology with the focus on Bronze Age ceramics.
My (large scale) experiments investigating my concepts as to how, specifically, large stone blocks were lifted by the Old Kingdom Egyptians commenced in 2005, although I had reduced to paper such concepts several years earlier.
I am an academic archaeologist teaching at Grinnell College in Iowa, USA. I work with analysis and replication of prehistoric technologies, especially stone tools and atlatls, and early agricultural technology.
I am teaching Textile & Costume history at Academies in Amsterdam. I am working since 1994 in reconstructing artifacts, clothing and ancient textile technics with special interest in the Mesolithic period.
