I am teaching Textile & Costume history at Academies in Amsterdam. I am working since 1994 in reconstructing artifacts, clothing and ancient textile technics with special interest in the Mesolithic period. I make reconstructions of clothing from the different periods in prehistory, roman dress, medieval, 15th, 16th and 17th centuries’ costume. My specialisation is working with fibres from barks grasses/prehistoric textile and basketry. My latest interesting project (working with Archeon) is the reconstruction of a prehistoric fish trap found at Bergschenhoek, 4.200 BC.
