I am an expert in warp-weighted weaving, having written one of a handful of books on the topic. I've been involved with textiles since 1975, and experimental archaeology and early weaving technologies since 2000. As a spinner, weaver, and dyer for more than 25 years (among a fair number of other textile crafts) I've been involved in public displays and education since 1992. Currently, I'm researching 'pin beaters', and other loom related tools with the intent of creating a category system and publishing my results. My warp weighted loom has handspun yarns, dyed with dyes of my own gathering and creation, to prove that warp weighted looms can and were used to create unbalanced weaves.
