I am an assistant professor of anthropology at the State University of New York at Potsdam, USA. My research includes examining human/environmental interactions in the ancient past. Often I use experimental archaeology as part of my research methodology. Over the last several years, I have also used this approach as an educational tool. I feel it provides my students with the ability to devise and carry-out methods for answering their own research questions.
