Archaeological Open-Air Museum

Rocky Mount Museum and Living History Site sits at the foot of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. A visit to the site will include several components starting with a visit to the Massengill Overmountain Museum.

Before Europeans set foot upon Mississippi Valley Soil, American Indians developed a vibrant and sophisticated culture in the Memphis area. The C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa allows visitors to explore the lifeways of these people.

Red Clay State Historic Park is located in southern Bradley County in Cleveland, Tennessee. The park is also listed as an interpretive center along the Cherokee Trail of Tears. It encompasses 263 acres (1.06 km2) of land and is located just above the Tennessee-Georgia stateline.
