Lecturer with PhD. My specialist in Experimental Archaeology, My PhD. experimentation was about transporting amphorae by camels on the eastern desert road in the Roman era. I Am a very passionate and active individual.

I have been involved with experimental archaeology since my student days. I started in the field of ceramics followed by research into the historical relationship between ecosystems and material-actions. At present my focus is on open-fired ceramics and adaptive construction.

My current research project involves the use of archaeometry and experimental archaeology in order to better understand Neolithic and Chalcolithic pottery technology in central and Northern Italy. In my spare time I also enjoy flint knapping (badly!)

I completed my undergraduate degree from Wisconsin La Crosse with a double major in Archeology and Art. My art degree focused on ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking techniques, as well as wheel and hand made ceramics.

As a multifaceted craftsperson I have always been interested in the ''making of" anything really, but more specifically tools, practical objects and decoration. Working with ceramics and incense during my BA ignited more of the interest in experimental archaeology.

I'm an archaeologist and a postgraduate student at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano specializing in Early Medieval Archaeology and Landscape Archaeology; I'm particularly interested in longobard material culture and I have a long experience in archaeological excavations.

Municipal Archaeologist of Wijk bij Duurstede/ Dorestad. I have been involved in experimenting with food in the past 25 years.

Being a prehistoric archaeologist I really think, that science communication is an important topic, and for that I find it a pleasure to work as an educator in a museum. Concerning crafts, my main interest is pottery, and since 2014 I conduct experiments on building Neolithic clay drums.

Dr Scott Stull is a medieval and experimental archaeologist with a particular interest in ceramics and food.
