My research focuses primarily on Medieval Archaeology and Castle Studies, and more recently upon Death, Burial and the Funerary Industry, whilst my teaching focuses on Archaeological Practice, Landscape Archaeology and Cultural Heritage. I also have research interests in Ancient Technology, Warfare and Experimental Archaeology, and a professional interest in Archaeological Health and Safety and Professional Practice. 

I am Skilled in Lecturing, Archival Research, Landscape Archaeology, Public Engagement and Surveying.  A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Landscape Archaeology & Castellology from University of Bristol. An Author and Broadcaster with over 20 years of television experience.
