Stone

I’m an archaeologist, currently working at the Traceology and Controlled Experiments (TraCEr) lab, MONREPOS, Archaeological Research Centre and Museum for Human Behavioural Evolution, RGZM. I'm interested how past human populations during the Pleistocene used their stone tools.

Tammy Hodgskiss is the Curator at the Origins Centre museum, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Tammy is an archaeologist and received her PhD in 2013 from Wits University.

I am a flint-knapper. I have been flint-knapping for many years. I do replicative experiments in stone tool manufacture and stone tool use. My primary job is as an archaeologist for the state of California. I teach anthropology at the local community college.

Dr. Liye Xie studies the co-construction of technology and society with specialties in preindustrial technologies of bone, stone, and earthen construction.

I am a curator of the prehistory collections of the National Museum of Archeology of Catalonia (Barcelona) and associate lecturer at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where I teach subjects related to technology from an experimental point of view.

As a multifaceted craftsperson I have always been interested in the ''making of" anything really, but more specifically tools, practical objects and decoration. Working with ceramics and incense during my BA ignited more of the interest in experimental archaeology.

João Carlos Moreno de Sousa (Bogotá, 1989) (mostly known as JuCa) studied archaeology at Institute of Prehistory and Anthropology of Goiás, in the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (BR). He obtained a Master’s Degree at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, University of São Paulo (BR).

I'm a PhD student from Ukraine and a member of the living history club "Zastava (Stronghold)". I working on my dissertation about medieval log-boats from the southwestern lands of Kievan Rus' in the 10th-13th centuries.

My main hobbies are experimental archaeology and historical reenacting  of the early Middle Ages in the territory of Kievan Rus. My experiments were based on horn and bone and stone processing, primitive woodworking, fire breeding, and primitive tooling experiments.
