I am involved in community archaeological excavation projects as well as experimental archaeology mostly based on the early medieval period. I also organise living history courses in Viking Age metalwork techniques.
On the first day of the Symposium, after a brief introduction to the conference by Marco Romeo Pitone (EXARN), a series of interesting talks were presented by post graduate students from universities across the UK and beyond.
Free to attend. Fire always leaves its mark and a wealth of information behind. This conference aims to explore these events by bringing together ideas from across archaeological and anthropological sub-disciplines. Registration now extended until 31 March 2019.
