As a retired pilot, I enjoy studying history and especially mythology and pre-historic era. Using methods of "strategic analysis" I try to approach the truth of ancient people's way of life and their technology.
I've started my activity in 2007, as a historical reenactor. After taking my bachelor's degree in natural sciences at Cagliari University, I went to England for a couple of years, I've then taken my Master's degree in Archaeology at the University of Ferrara.
Demonstrating and teaching bronze casting at Butser Ancient farm for 19 years.
My speciality is developing and testing Bronze Age weapons, working with leading experts and students to develop the knowledge at Butser.
Sculptor / Jeweller turned Metal smith with special interest in Bronze and Iron Age castings and metal work. Volunteer at Butser Ancient Farm assisting in Bronze Age sword castings and helping to set up an iron smelting project.
My particular area of knowledge is the Late Iron Age, with specialising in ancient equitation, from how bridles and saddles were made, why they were made so and the technology which went into their creation.
I am a prehistoric archaeologist and I have always been interested in experimental archeology and historical re-enactment. I studied Archaeology first at the University of Modena and then at the University of Bologna where I graduated with Prof.
I graduated in Cultural Heritage Management with a thesis on Anthropology in 2011. I published two articles with EXARC (2013-2 and 2018-3) and a book published in 2018 ("I guerrieri Piceni").
Dr. in Quaternary and Prehistory with European mention in the University Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona (Spain) in collaboration with the University of Ferrara (Italy).
In 2002, I decided to actively pursue my historical interest and incorporate my skills in physics, electronics and engineering.
