I have always had a passion for history and art, so I decided to bring my two passions together to create 'Arteology'. Arteology is about using ancient art materials, such as earth pigments to create artwork with groups or individuals of all age groups, that teaches them, in a hands on and engaging fun way, about specific time periods and giving experiences of living history. These I have been delivering for Park in The Past, near Wrexham, UK and local museums.

At the moment my main focus is on the British and European Iron Age and British Romano art, as well as looking at the beautiful Frescos' of Pompeii etc. - though I'm also rapidly becoming interested in various forms of Neolithic art and artifact production methods and materials. I have to be quite strict on myself or I get carried away and happily disappear down research rabbit holes!
I want to learn more about ancient art techniques and methods - I am very curious and love to experiment, and test ideas and theories I have read about.
I started Arteology just before Covid happened which has been frustrating, but allowed me time to study, research and experiment.
