Her research focuses on prehistoric technology, ancient crafts and the reconstruction of the cultural biography of objects using experimental archeology and microscopy. She is one of the leading specialists in microwear and as such participates in several international projects.

Working on the annual growth ring brings the wood to new life and will change the way you look at wood as a material. Under expert guidance, the participants make their own bows from ash or hickory (including string and arrows).

Under the guidance of the Düsseldorf artist Birte Schuler, you will explore the question of how paints have been produced since the Stone Age, experiment with earth pigments and make your own brushes from materials that were already available to people in the Stone Age.
