On Sunday, March 6th, the 2022 season begins in the Lauresham Experimental Archaeological Open-Air Laboratory. As in previous years, the team led by Laboratory Manager Claus Kropp invites you to the Open Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission. The motto is: "To be a lord in the early Middle Ages".
I am a PhD student at the University of South Florida where I am currently engaging in textiles and dress from a digital archaeology perspective. Tools being utilized include digital photogrammetry and structured light scanning.

Today we want to introduce you to the various fashions of the early Middle Ages with tunics, calf wraps and temple rings, in the High Middle Ages with givers, leg warmers and surcots, or in the late Middle Ages with pourpoints and straps.
