Specialist in general experimental archeology (since 2012), with extensive practice in the Bronze Age and Neolithic.
When did I start? So long ago I do not exactly recall. I've done very early hunting since the seventies. I learned to make my own arrows and bows to historic models. I'm learning to knap flint into points. I've learned to use the atlatl and darts, the sling (Balearic in this case).
I am an historic tailor and study prehistoric clothing for 20 years. For about 15 years do living history of the early iron age. Beside all kinds of textile technics, I try all skills early iron age people needed to know as specialy concening fishing.
Sally is an archaeologist and freelance heritage educator with an MSc in Experimental Archaeology. She is also an Honorary Associate Research Fellow at Exeter University.
Having had a keen interest in traditional crafts and living history, I went on to study Experimental Archaeology at University, specialising in viking age bloomery iron smelting.
I have been involved in experimental archaeology and reenactment since 2007. Initially still in the early Middle Ages, I quickly slipped and ended up in the Iron Age and Bronze Age. I was impressed by the Bronze Age string skirts that I am reconstructing.
I am Tomislav Ivančić, I come from Croatia but currently I live in Stuttgart, Germany. Ten years ago when I started my studies in Zadar University I became interested in reconstructing of flint tools and weapons.
Ancient painting techniques are my field of interest - everything from scribbling on things and walls to high art. I started the exploration in 2009 with humble tempera experiments, probed into encaustic techniques in 2014, painted a ship with pliny-style wax paint in 2018.
My historical focus is on the early Middle Ages and I volunteer at the Lauresham Open Air Laboratory for Experimental Archaeology at the Lorsch Abbey World Heritage Site.
