In 2007, we had remade the EXARC website for the last time. With the new EU projects, EXARC becomes ever more a portal site. However it is important to signpost what EXARC itself is about. We have almost 100 members now and presenting them in a way fitting with all needed some thinking.

Another reason for refurbishing the website was the wish to turn it into a Content Management System (CMS). That way, all members are able to keep up their own part of the website, their own calendar et cetera. We decided to use the latest version of an open source CMS called Drupal.

The new website was published in May 2011 but weaving the other websites around it will take until 2012.
