Experimental Archaeology Research Cluster!

Early May, representatives of almost a dozen universities practicing experimental archaeology met for a roundtable meeting in Madrid. They decided to form a Research Cluster on Experimental Archaeology under the EXARC umbrella. The Cluster includes among others Washington College (US), Università di Siena (IT), Università del Salento (IT), University of Exeter (UK), University College Dublin (IE) and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (ES). Our strategy is to share information and then gain momentum towards an application for funding to support our initiatives. The Cluster will share reading materials and other professional information for teaching. We are open for other university colleagues working with experimental archaeology.

The group will meet again 15 January 2015, UCD, Dublin, Ireland, the day before the EA Winter Conference: http://experimentalarchaeology.org.uk. Subjects on the agenda will be an EA Award where we include Universities, Archaeological Open-Air Museums and promising experiments.
