Making Open Access Common Standard

EXARC has long been a supporter and active agent in making all research and information open access. We believe that the more we and our members share, the more useful EXARC as a networking organization becomes. We have over 400 articles open access; we sustain all the results of the EU projects EXARC was part of and you will also find large public profiles of our over 300 members and their activities. Networking as we do IS open access. We like to share the power of knowledge and experience.

Many research-funding organisations believe the same: open access should be the standard. September 2018, they started Coalition S with the support of the European Commission and the European Research Council (ERC), which revolves around the following principle: “After 1 January 2020 scientific publications on the results from research funded by public grants provided by national and European research councils and funding bodies, must be published in compliant Open Access Journals or on compliant Open Access Platforms.”
