Wanted: training possibilities from museum education up to construction of museum houses

One of our members needs to learn how to run a medium sized archaeological open-air museum. He already has experience in event management and running large groups of volunteers, but needs more. As a travelling apprentice, he intends to visit EXARC members to get training. Costs will be covered.

For starters he needs to get firsthand experience on building a number of houses, based on archaeology. He does not need so much about authenticity, but especially about logistics, getting the right materials, tools and people, planning and management. He is also looking to get training in museum pedagogics and didactics.

Any suggestions where he could spend a few weeks in the coming 12 months (workshop, seminar, field work), please contact r.p.paardekooper@exarc.net before 1 September.
