A Year On The Field Project Starts

The aim of this extraordinary cooperation project is “to document and research the cultivation and processing of wheat for one year.” This is done on an international and historical scale: the distribution of the different partners as well as their archaeological and historical background allows to look at over 2000 years of wheat growing in one year.

Involved are, among more than 20 museums, farms, research institutions, scientists, living history farms and archaeological open-air museums from more than eight different countries, also EXARC members: Claus Kropp from the Freilichtlabor Lauresham and Cozette Griffin-Kremer.
